Mission Statement and Instructor Bios

The Anaheim High School Drumline instructional staff takes great pride in helping to create a safe, educational environment in which students will develop musical skills, leadership skills, and a sense of responsibility and dedication that will transfer to other areas of life.

Mr. Breysi Garcia

Mr. Garcia became the band director at Anaheim High School in 2010, however he is also a former Anaheim H.S. Band member.  He and his two brothers, Bincins and Befael, all graduated from Anaheim High School.  Mr. Garcia received his B.A. in music from Cal State Fullerton.

Mr. Richard Gordon

Mr. Gordon has been the band director at Sycamore Jr. High School since 2002.  He has taken great pride in developing a well rounded music program at Sycamore, while at the same time establishing a very close working relationship with the Students and Staff at Anaheim High School, where most of Sycamore's students will receive their 9th - 12th grade education.  Mr. Gordon received his B.A. from California State University, Fullerton and his Masters Degree in Music at the University of Southern Oregon.

Mr. Richard Huang

Mr. Richard S. Huang has had a wealth of experience the realm of percussion. He has served as a percussion judge for the SCSBOA and the USSBA band circuit. Mr. Huang performs professionally as a member of the Trash Can Trio (Percussion Ensemble) at the Disneyland Resort. He marched snare with the Velvet Knights Drum Corps in 1994. He has been an educator for organizations such as:

The Anaheim Drumline Students and Staff would like to thank The Anaheim Union High School District and the Administrative team at Anaheim High School for their continuing support for our activities.  

We would also like to thank all of the parents who have helped to make this activity possible by becoming involved and by providing encouragement and support to our students.

The Pacific Crest Drum Corps in 2006 & 2007 (Caption Head), Troopers Drum Corps in 2003, 2004 Taipei Yeufu, and numerous high school programs including the 2001 WGI Percussion Silver Medalists, Fountain Valley High School Drumline.  Mr. Huang has earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from California State University, Long Beach, and is currently enrolled in CSUF pursuing a teaching credential in History.

Ms. Nicole Montinola

Nicole began teaching at Anaheim in 2009 as the front ensemble / pit instructor.  Nicole has been a member of several outstanding performance ensembles including the world champion Concord Blue Devils.
